Overview

Mustache is looking for a Senior Copywriter to help us make things that culture will love. Like teaming up with RZA to replace an outdated and racist ice cream jingle, fighting for intersectional environmental justice with TAZO Tea, or creating a hotel for the world's most devoted Taco Bell fans. We're all about work that earns attention and impacts culture. And to do that, our briefs operate outside the standard PR/Advertising/Communications/Marketing box. So, if you’re looking to come up with ideas that go beyond the 30-second spot but end up in the pages of the New York Times and on the One Show shortlist – you’ll be in good company here.

To land this gig, you need to have a passion for people and helping others solve problems. Our culture is what sets us apart from traditional ad agencies, and it’s why so many stay with us awhile. We support one another, encourage each other, and we’re looking for individuals who want to contribute to our culture.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 - 6 years of experience in marketing, advertising or social media
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English or related major

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Can concept high-level brand campaigns - we’re talking big, insight-led ideas, taglines or platforms with longevity.
  • Can develop a distinct tone of voice for a brand, expressed through manifestos, headlines, scripts and social.
  • Has a knack for culturally-fueled activations and experiences - it’s about knowing what’s going on in the world and how can we put our own spin on it for a brand.
  • Understands and applies craft - that means pushing, refining, perfecting your ideas from concept to production.
  • Comfortable with presenting and selling in work, internally and in front of clients.
  • Collaborative across agency team members from creative, account, production, PR, strategy, planning and analytics to produce smart, powerful work
  • Has production experience
